Artist's Biography

 


 

Trevor Pittaway was born in 1943 in Long Drax, Yorkshire. He worked as a designer and then as a teacher of Art.

1990-1997 Regular exhibitor at the British Watercolour Society and the British Painters exhibitions

1991 Elected associate Member of the British Watercolour Society

Artist member and regular exhibitor at the Holmfirth Art week and member of the Dewsbury Arts society in Yorkshire.

Founder member of the Wakefield Arts Mill in Yorkshire

1998-2000 Director of Wakefield Artsmill

2006 Elected member of Leeds Fine Art


EDUCATION



Trained at Doncaster School of Art and later at Leeds College of Art.

2000-2001 The University of Bradford, MA, Printmaking


SELECTED EXHIBITIONS


Trevor has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout the UK including the Summer Exhibition, Royal Acdemy of Arts London, the Royal opera house, Wakefield, The Mall Galleries, London, Dean Clough Galleries, Halifax, Yorkshire, Tedington Art Fair, Tedington, London and the Zillah Bell Gallery, Thirsk in Yorkshire. 


Trevor is a regular exhibitor in both the Leeds Fine Artists group and the Dewsbury Arts group where he continues to exhibit annually at Batley Art Gallery, Dewsbury Town Hall and the North Light Gallery near Huddersfield in Yorkshire.

Trevor is an invited artist member and annual exhibitor at Holmfirth Art week in Yorkshire.
